Acting 101 and Improv
This course will be an exploration of ones self as an actor, artist and as a person. Through the use of improv games, monologue/scene work, and acting exercises, we will delve into what makes you special as performer and give you the tools to succeed both on stage and on camera. We will touch on audition technique, character study, and script annalists, as well as watch or read lectures and interviews from experts in the field.
This class will not be held if fewer than 7 students are enrolled.
ABOUT THE TEACHER
Eb Madson at a young age always knew that one day he wanted to be an actor. Growing up Eb loved movies and live performance. He performed in plays in school and when he was 16, he started working as comedian at Quick Wits Comedy improv. Eb continues to Act and direct for both the stage and on film in Utah and on the west coast. In Utah he is most well known for his work with Salt Lake Acting Company and their annual production Saturday's Voyeur, as well his acting/director work with the Ziegfeld.
