James and the Giant Peach Jr!

Parent and Participant Meeting:
This meeting will be held in person at THE ZIEGFELD ARTS ACADEMY on September 12th. We will go over program and production details, what to expect, and answer questions.
A mandatory parent committee meeting will be held on 9/21 at The Ziegfeld Arts Academy at 5:30 PM. More information to follow.
Based on one of Roald Dahl’s most poignantly quirky stories, Roald Dahl's James and the Giant Peach JR. is a brand new take on this "masterpeach" of a tale. Featuring a wickedly tuneful score and a witty and charming book, this adventurous musical about courage and self-discovery is destined to be a classic.
When James is sent by his conniving aunts to chop down their old fruit tree, he discovers a magic potion that grows a tremendous peach, rolls into the ocean and launches a journey of enormous proportions. James befriends a collection of singing insects that ride the giant piece of fruit across the ocean, facing hunger, sharks and plenty of disagreements along the way.
The possibilities for creative costuming and puppetry abound, and young actors will love playing the outlandish and larger-than-life human and insect characters.
Performance Dates
Mini's: November 18, 19, 21, 22, 25, 26 at 6:00 PM
Matinee: November 19, and 26 at 12:00 PM
*if you have a performance conflict please let us know on your form and we will adjust casting accordingly.
Program Cost:
$150 per student charged at *$50 per month (Sept. 1, Oct. 1, Nov. 1)
All: $25 registration fee for new families
*The first month's tuition is not refundable even if you choose to drop after the cast list is posted.
