AMERICAN SIGN LANGUAGE (ASL) - Come learn the basics of ASL and how a different community communicates with and relates to the world around them. There will be an OPTIONAL textbook purchase for the ASL class that will run $20-$40 depending on new or used.
ART - Come explore various Art Mediums with super talented, professional artist Cindy Fedor. From sculptures and watercolor to sketching, shading, and scaling with photographs, you will leave inspired and equipped to continue to create with your own artistic flare. This class will be taught in multiple age groups. You will need to provide a labeled pencil bag and potentially up to $30 in supplies (list will be provided).
CLOGGING - Come learn clogging from an instructor at Fab 5 Studio. Students will learn two dances throughout the school year and perform at two recitals. Fab 5 Studio performed on America's Got Talent and consistently wins state and national awards for clogging. Students will be required to purchase white clogging shoes ($60-$130) and a performance shirt ($30-$40) for this class in addition to their tuition. This class will be taught in two levels, depending on interest and registration. Clogging is a sport that requires specialized equipment, hence the specific clogging shoe that is the bulk of your cost.
DANCE PARTY 101 - This class will be for all ages and will include several dances hosted at the Academy for the entire Homeschool Community. We will focus on group dances, party dances, line dances - all designed to boost your confidence, get everyone moving and making memories together, and prepare the 12+ age group for upcoming social functions and transitions. We will also have a Family Dance Party once a month where families will be invited to come and join the fun during the last half hour of the day.

LIVING MATH - We are excited to continue our awesome Living Math class through the memorable stories of the Math Start series and hands-on Math Games. This class will be taught through Math Games. Exclusive to our program, students may also choose to participate in the Utah Jazz Math Hoops program for $35 a family, including a game to practice and prepare at home, incentives and rewards from the Utah Jazz, and Math Hoops competitions and play-offs at the Academy and in Salt Lake. Your family even has the option of buying your own game board for only $35 to hone your skills at home! Learn more about this effective, fun game here.
NATURE SCIENCE AND JOURNALING - Come learn through Journaling, Art, and Stories about the world around you! We will use the Draw Write Now curriculum and living books to study animals, habitats, and seasons in this interactive Elementary Science class.
SHAKESPEARE FOR TEENS - Come study Shakespeare with passionate mentors who have delighted audiences with performances and adaptations for years. We will start by giving you an overview of the works of Shakespeare, show you how to recognize Shakespearean stories and themes in modern shows, teach you to understand the Shakespearian language, teach you how to modernize Shakespeare, and give you an opportunity to perform and direct Shakespearian scenes for the December Recital. We will also study stage combat and sword fighting for the stage. All of this will prepare you for our second semester musical production of Aladdin, Jr. This is a Scholar class.
SHOW CHOIR - Our choir combines music, dancing, harmony, and rhythm through songs from the world of Musical Theater. Included in our curriculum are songs from hit Broadway and film musicals such as Matilda, The Greatest Showman, Seussical, Newsies, and more. Students will perform during one or two recitals and also at the annual fundraising breakfast for Prevent Child Abuse Utah.
Pre-Requisite: Students need to be able to read independently to participate in this class.
