Shrek The Musical Minis
Our Mini’s Program is the perfect introduction to musical theater for young performers! Designed for ages 5–7, this fun and nurturing program blends preschool-style activities with creative play and performance. Minis rehearse a shorter, age-appropriate version of our summer camp show, building confidence, teamwork, and a love for the stage—all while having a blast!
Once upon a time, in a far away swamp, there lived an ogre named Shrek. One day, Shrek finds his swamp invaded by banished fairytale misfits who have been cast off by Lord Farquaad, a tiny terror with big ambitions. When Shrek sets off with a wisecracking donkey to confront Farquaad, he's handed a task — if he rescues feisty princess Fiona, his swamp will be righted. Shrek tries to win Fiona’s love and vanquish Lord Farquaad, but a fairytale wouldn't be complete without a few twists and turns along the way.

Audition Information:
Auditions for our Minis will take place on the afternoon of the first day of camp. This fun and low-pressure process is designed to help us get to know your Mini a little better! Auditions will include a short monologue, a dad joke, and a song from the show—no need to have them memorized, but familiarity with the material definitely helps. Before camp begins, families will receive a short “Getting to Know Your Mini” audition form in the welcome email. Please fill it out ahead of time—it’s an essential part of setting your Mini up for a successful and enjoyable audition experience!
To keep things light and playful, we also ask each Mini to come prepared with their best “Dad Joke”! (Examples: Which is faster, hot or cold? Hot, because you can catch a cold!)
